Following our collaboration with ALMINA in 2024, OLALA Homes invited us back to Cascais for a second venture: O'CULTO, a cocktail and spirits destination.
Our mission was to create the brand strategy, narrative and visual identity for a boutique cocktail bar with ambitions far beyond its size. Looking for a story that could transform the venue into a true destination, we turned to one of the most fascinating yet overlooked chapters of Portuguese history. During the Second World War, Cascais and nearby Estoril became a neutral territory where diplomats, intelligence officers, exiled royalty and spies crossed paths in hotels, casinos and private salons. What began as historical research quickly revealed the perfect narrative foundation for O'CULTO: a contemporary house of spirits inspired by secrecy, discretion, hidden exchanges and the timeless allure of the world's great cocktail bars.
The branding experience takes inspiration from confidential documents, vintage stamps, intelligence briefings, coded archives and hidden meeting places, transforming a simple night out into a story of discovery.
Alongside the creation of the visual identity, we developed the signage system, menus and branded touchpoints while providing strategic advisory on the guest experience, F&B positioning and interior atmosphere. The result is a brand that feels both timeless and cinematic: a destination where every detail contributes to a sense of intrigue, sophistication and exclusivity, establishing O'CULTO as one of Cascais' most distinctive hospitality concepts.

INSPIRATION
The O'CULTO identity was built around the visual language of classified information and diplomatic secrecy.
Typography: Inspired by archival stamps, confidential files and institutional documentation, creating a graphic system that feels authoritative, discreet and unmistakable.
Visual Language: Embossed markings, coded references, document folders, intelligence archives and hidden details that reward observation and reinforce the narrative of discovery.
Every object was designed as a piece of the story: menus resemble confidential dossiers, signage borrows from institutional markings, and branded accessories become artifacts collected from a hidden world operating just beyond public view.
